Delaware County's ground is Crosby and Kokomo silt loam over till clay, and it holds water into May. Mud season on this clay lasts about as long as a Browns rebuild. Near Alum Creek Lake the woodland runs to oak and hickory with box elder in the draws. Along the Olentangy River it is sycamore bottoms, with a hawthorn fence line on the agricultural land above. I walked a Berkshire Township lot last spring and the tile was running at 30 inches.
